NuCook started as a series of in-person classes, taught in our teaching kitchen at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA. When the COVID-19 pandemic struck, we saw women struggling to work healthy meals into their increasingly complex and busy lives. So, NuCook’s virtual cooking series was born.

We bring personalized cooking & nutrition advice to you, in the place where you need it most: your kitchen. Find each class linked below, along with all the resources you’ll need to succeed!

In each class, Chef Eva will walk us through cooking 1-3 recipes, and our Dietitian, Andrea Roche, and physician, Dr. Susan Hellerstein, will take us through a brief nutrition discussion. To get the most out of the classes, we recommend picking at least 1 recipe to cook along with the recording!

HOW IT WORKS:

  • Step 1: read the “class prep” document linked below each class video. You may choose to cook along with the class, or watch and cook later! You may also choose to try cooking all of the recipes in one go if you’d like a challenge, or just pick 1-2 to cook along with Chef Eva.

  • Step 2: IF YOU’RE COOKING: purchase your ingredients, as listed in the “class prep” doc

  • Step 3: IF YOU’RE COOKING: prep your ingredients as listed in the “class prep” doc- this is called “mise en place” (French for “everything in place”) and is one of our guiding principals for successful cooking!

  • Step 4: Use the recipe links to follow along during the class. Watch the class video on Vimeo, and enjoy!

  • Step 5: After class, review the nutrition slides and additional resources as desired, and check out the photos that fellow classmates made!

  • Step 6: Send photos of your meals to Sarah at srsommer@bwh.harvard.edu to be featured on the site.

All class videos will be available through September 1st. The recipes and resources will be available indefinitely. Please email Sarah at srsommer@bwh.harvard.edu if you would like PDF/Word doc versions of any of the recipes or resources.
